There are mysterious creatures lurking in the dark. They live outside during the day, then seep through every minuscule crack in your house. Most don’t believe in them, but some do. Sometimes, you turn your eyes too fast, and you see their shadows. You blink, then the shadow isn’t there anymore. This is because they cannot find good enough hiding spots. when you hear those bumps, thumps, and floorboard creaks, you know it is them. Anything unusual that happens at night, it’s them. When you have a nightmare, it’s them. It’s them Crawling into your skull, into your mind, Filling it with dark, disturbing thoughts. Rarely, they will stalk you during the day. They make you feel frightened for no reason. They are the ones that make you run up the stairs faster than usual. They don’t normally strike, but when they do, oh you’ll know it. First you hear bumps and thumps in the night. Next, you see shadows in the corner of your eyes, even in bright places. Last you hear laughter before you go to sleep. You think it’s all over when you go to sleep. That, my friend isn’t the case. The horror has just begun. They go deep into your soul, and collect all of your fears. They plot their evil scheme. you never know when they will strike. It could be weeks, months, even years before you remotely see them. They never stop stalking you. They might be sitting right next to you this very moment. There are things that go bump in the night, but we, my friends, are the ones who bump back.
